Meeting 12 January 2019

Introduction

This, the 99th meeting of the London Youlan Qin Society, was held in the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

Summary of the AGM

The Society's eighth AGM was held during just before the yaji.

2018 was a very fruitful year. Our major achievement was the 6-day first London International Guqin Festival. We also held 6 yaji meetings, three 3-month qin courses. We had two special yaji meetings: our March yaji was held at China Exchange, as part of their "China in Context" event, and a Grand Yaji was held at the Oriental Club as part of the Guqin Festival.

The abolition of Associate membership was announced. Instead, full membership for people outside the UK will be available at the lower subscription rate of £20 per year.
